ASSISTANCE DOG ELIGIBILITY

While there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to dog restrictions, some common considerations include:

Prohibited Breeds:
In consideration of various factors, certain breeds such as Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Japanese Tosa, and Perro de Presa Canario are not eligible for our program.

Behavioural Considerations:
Dogs displaying aggressive behaviour, excessive barking, or related issues will require behavioural intervention before starting on your assistance dog journey.

Health and Fitness:
Dogs with structural predispositions or severe medical conditions cannot be accepted.

Age Consideration: While there is no lower age limit, we recommend assessing the time and cost benefits, especially for dogs aged 8 and above, before committing to the assistance dog program.

WHO TRAINS THE DOG?

The primary responsibility lies with the owner, who actively participates in the training process. Our experienced trainers provide guidance, coaching and live demonstrations.

This collaborative approach strengthens the bond between the owner and the dog. Owners are equipped with the skills and knowledge to continue training independently once the trainer's direct assistance concludes.
